Samsung have announced a new device in their Galaxy range, the Galaxy Grand.
This new device seems to fit in the middle of the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. Samsung themselves have touted this device for “users with fast paced mobile lifestyles who demand more from their phone”.
The design of the phone is hardly anything new, more a mixture of the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3. It seems Samsung are trying to fill each niche with their varying screen sizes, with this new device sporting a 5 inch screen.
It runs Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and features an impressive 1.2GHz Dual Core processor. The camera is 8MP on the rear, allowing for HD video recording, with a 2MP front facing camera.
Samsung have announced they will be releasing two variants; a Dual-sim one and a single-sim. The Dual-sim version will be launched first, followed by the single sim.
Samsung have not provided any further details regarding launch dates, prices and availabilities.

They released a handy spec sheet image which had been inserted below. The specs of the device are very much what you would expect from a quality device by a manufacturer such as Samsung. However, it doesn’t seem to bring anything new to the table that we have seen with the Galaxy S3, and it doesn’t boast the tablet-esque features that the Galaxy Note 2 brings with it.
